In February 2016 a group of artists traveled to Ethiopia together as part of Ethiopia Reads “An Ethiopian Odyssey II.” This trip included a painting tour of Maji and the Southern Nations of Ethiopia where they worked with a group of artists, writers, and humanitarians to create a series of children’s books. These books will be translated into many native languages of Ethiopia.
This event will feature the artwork that came out of this visit as well as an auction.
The artwork will also be on display at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library from October 3rd-November 3rd.
