A Message from Our CEO
During these challenging times I wanted to reach out and thank you for your previous and current support throughout the years, and to say that Aurora Sister Cities is committed to help our neighborhoods and community continue to thrive through the Covid-19 public health crisis.
Aurora Sister Cities International is an organization dedicated to bringing communities together through exchange and shared cooperation while growing leaders that can transcend borders to overcome life’s biggest challenges. As an organization that fosters peace, cooperation, volunteerism and learning through best practices exchange, our mission is now more important then ever. And, our commitment to our Aurora community and our sister cities is stronger than ever.
Through this emergency, we will continue to be a positive force for peace and global cooperation. We will continue to create future leaders who will face and overcome the same and new great challenges—leaders that will learn and grow from the current world crisis and leaders that can work hand in hand as good neighbors to the people of Aurora and as good neighbors to the world.
Aurora Sister Cities will be modifying upcoming events, but we will continue in our mission. Some upcoming activities and events that you can look forward to are:
- Virtual learning resources shared through our website and social media
- Virtual exchange information shared through our website and social media
- Information on volunteer opportunities in our community, both virtual and in-person
- Openings to join ASCI staff in volunteer activities around our community
- Covid-19 news and resources from our global partners shared through our website and social media
- Virtual fundraisers for our Global Youth Leaders who we hope will again be traveling to our sister cities in 2021
Together in shared cooperation and learning we are stronger. And if we work together with our global neighbors, I believe there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
