Veterans Day, Armistice Day and Aurora/Korea Virtual Exchange

Today is Veterans Day and Armistice Day. We thank all veterans who have served.

On this day, we also want to recognize students in Aurora and Seongnam City, South Korea who are participating in a virtual exchange since they cannot yet meet in person. The students have discussed their interests, career and college goals, and talked about their dreams.

When asked what they would do or have done with their first paycheck, views were diverse. Below are some of the responses:

  • Donate the money.
  • Buy a dream bed with Dior bedding.
  • Save half and support a single charity like an animal shelter or hospital.
  • Bought a new Samsung smart phone.
  • Buy something that makes me happy.

Several students want to invest in the stock market, and many want to save the money or use it to help their families.

The sessions are at 6 p.m. on Fridays in Aurora, which is 9 a.m. on Saturdays in South Korea.
