Aurora Sister Cities International Celebrates Aurora Fest 2026

Aurora, CO – June 18, 2026 – Aurora Sister Cities International (ASCI) proudly participated in Aurora Fest 2026, Aurora’s premier multicultural celebration, held on June 13 at the Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn.

Aurora Fest, themed “The World in a City,” brought together residents and visitors from across the region to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes Aurora one of the most internationally connected communities in Colorado. The festival featured cultural performances, international cuisine, a Parade of Nations, an international marketplace, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly activities representing dozens of countries and cultures from around the world.

ASCI was honored to be part of this vibrant community event, sharing information about its mission and programs while connecting with residents interested in international exchange, cultural understanding, and global engagement.

Board President Jeanette Rodriguez expressed gratitude for the many volunteers, community partners, and supporters who helped make the event a success.

“Aurora Fest is a powerful reminder of what makes our city so special,” said Rodriguez. “Every culture, every language, and every story contributes to the fabric of our community. Aurora Sister Cities International is proud to support opportunities that build bridges of friendship, understanding, and cooperation across cultures and across borders.”

Throughout the event, ASCI board members, volunteers, and community partners engaged with attendees and highlighted the organization’s ongoing work with Aurora’s sister cities and international partnerships. Visitors learned about youth exchanges, cultural programs, educational opportunities, and upcoming international initiatives.

ASCI extends special thanks to the City of Aurora, the Office of International and Immigrant Affairs, event organizers, volunteers, performers, vendors, and all who contributed to making Aurora Fest 2026 a memorable celebration of global friendship and community spirit.
