Aurora Sister Cities International Announces Appointment of New Executive Director 

Aurora, CO – May 10, 2024 – Aurora Sister Cities International (ASCI) proudly announces the appointment of Daniana Trigoso as its new Executive Director. With a wealth of experience in community advocacy, strategic planning, and non-profit management, Trigoso brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to her new role. 

Daniana Trigoso, affectionately known as “Danny,” holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education, and an MBA in Human Resources and Social Projects from Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Lima Peru. Additionally, she has pursued Child Development Associate and International Relations studies from Indianapolis Indiana University. Her educational background underscores her commitment to serving diverse communities with tailored solutions. 

With over 20 years of experience, Trigoso has demonstrated exceptional leadership in various settings, including strategic planning, new business start-ups, and non-profits. Notably, she founded DIFY (Developing Integrity in Families and Youth), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and preventing drug abuse, crime, and developing leadership in Indiana and Texas communities. Under her guidance, DIFY has initiated five new community programs aimed at empowering women, youth, and adolescents. 

Trigoso’s professional journey is marked by a steadfast dedication to community service. During her tenure in Indianapolis, she fostered relationships with over 200 community service agencies, promoting civic engagement and advocating for children and families. Her efforts extended to assisting families in setting and achieving goals while navigating challenges such as domestic violence and sexual assault. 

Relocating to Houston in 2015, Trigoso continued her mission of serving disadvantaged families, particularly in times of crisis. As a disaster recovery specialist, she provided comprehensive client services, including relief efforts, advocacy, and long-term recovery planning. Moreover, Trigoso facilitated dialogue on diversity, equity, and inclusion, engaging thought leaders and corporate partners to address the needs of low-income workers and refugees. 

Trigoso’s remarkable achievements include spearheading staff development initiatives, fostering international, national, and local relationships, and advocating for marginalized communities. She is renowned for her negotiation skills, effective communication, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
