In partnership with The Pacific Rim Cultural Exchange Program, Aurora Sister Cities International invites you to apply for a unique travel opportunity to Japan! High School students (grades 9th through 12th) are eligible to join this cultural and historical tour in Hiroshima, Japan which will expose them to the Japanese language, culture and history.
The tour immerses students into Japanese culture by providing Japanese language classes, cultural classes, and historical education. Sightseeing includes UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Himeji Castle and Miyajima (pictured), attending the Yukata Festival, a cooking class, hearing from an atomic bomb survivor, a traditional tea ceremony and much more!
Students depart on Wednesday June 3rd and return Thursday June 11th, 2020 (dates subject to change). The fee is $3,500.00 which includes airfare, accommodations in host homes and dorms, food, transportation in Japan as well as English-speaking guides and chaperones. Partial scholarships may be available based on need and merit.
