At 4pm Raíces de Mi Tierra will perform at the Stanley. Raíces de Mi Tierra is a non for profit children’s dance group that was founded to share dance as a celebration of life, Mexican heritage, and to reach new audiences while providing a safe haven for children who share a love for dance. Many of the performers’ parents are from Mexico and want to continue the tradition of their culture. There are at least 20 different states from Mexico represented by Raíces de Mi Tierra and there are several dances and costumes that represent each state.
From 4:30pm-6pm, Tito Malega will play tunes on his Spanish guitar on the Comida patio for people picking up their food, and via Comida’s Instagram TV.
At 5:30PM, Create Cooking School will host an online cooking class, teaching all of us how to make a classic margarita and crispy shrimp tacos with pico de gallo.
