Korean Senior Foundation Awards $5,000 Scholarship to Aurora Sister Cities International – Korea Committee

On Friday, April 18th, a meaningful ceremony took place at the Aurora City Hall in the Mayor’s Office, where Korean Senior Foundation Chairman Jason Park presented a $5,000 scholarship to the Aurora Sister Cities International Korea Committee. This generous contribution marks the seventh consecutive year that the scholarship has been awarded, continuing a proud tradition of supporting cross-cultural youth engagement and education.

The scholarship funds are specifically designated for students participating in the Seong Nam Youth Conference, a program that strengthens the international bond between Aurora, Colorado, and its sister city Seong Nam, South Korea.

The event was attended by several distinguished community leaders and stakeholders, including Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman; Former Korean Senior Foundation Chairman Bobby Kim; Aurora Sister Cities International Board Chairman Yuly Williams; Korea Committee Co-Chairs Jennifer Kim and Sean Choi; Treasurer Becky Hogan; and Secretary Liz Kwon. Their presence underscored the importance of international collaboration and the shared commitment to investing in future leaders.

This annual scholarship initiative is a testament to the ongoing partnership between Aurora and Seong Nam, and it highlights the value of fostering global connections through education, cultural exchange, and civic involvement.
