Fatema Amin is a hard-working mother and student at Aurora Community College who is dedicated to her family and community. Over the last fifteen years she had taken on various customer service positions, first in retail then as a make-up artist. She currently works full-time as a on-campus intern and volunteers her time with Aurora Sister Cities International.
Before moving to Denver to pursue a degree in Communications, she lived and worked with her husband in Amwaja, Bahrin with her two eldest children Zacharia, 10 and Amira, 8. Her youngest son Amal, 3, was born right after their move to Colorado.
Fatema’s love for her three children and community led her to volunteer work at Ashley Elementary School where her children currently attend school. This position allowed her to build new skills while reaching out to parents and children. After she graduates she hopes to return to Ashley Elementary School where she can make a difference in young children’s lives.
