Make that morning cup of coffee not just lift you up but lift up Aurora’s youth!  Aurora Sister Cities’ Costa Rica Commitee will be hosting an exchange program to Jaco, Costa Rica for youth from Aurora, Denver, Centennial, Parker and the Metro Denver Area.  Our mission as an organization is to to fostor awareness and acknowledgement of global inter-connectedness, as well as these five core values: education, exchange, innovation, leadership and service.  In other words, to create a community that engages globally, and thrives locally.  This year we are giving our global youth  the oppotunity to travel to Costa Rica and to explore and engage in the culture there.

Jaco, Costa Rica is a bustling beach town rich in history and full of natural beauty.  Named Costa Rica or “the rich coast”  by Christopher Columbus when he first arrived. Costa Rica is rich in natural beauty, culture and wonders.  Just outside of the Capital of Costa Rica, Jaco has been a rapidly growing city for decades. Considered a gateway to to Costa Rica’s natural parks and rainforests,  Jaco is near the Tárcoles River,  the Carara National Park,  Manuel Antonio National Park, and not to mention sprawling beaches with iconic views.  When visiting Costa Rica our youth will get the chance of a lifetime to see the rich diversity of wildlife that Costa Rica offers.

Not only that,  Jaco offers a vibrant and diverse community, city and peoples.  This expedition gives students the chance to experince and interact with Costa Rican students, engaging together in local service projects.   Giving them this opportunity will enrich our youths lives and understanding of the world and that will not only benfit them but benefit our entire community here at home.

So how can you help? easy! Aurora Sister Cities has partnered with Logan House Coffee to create an amazing fundraiser. When you buy a bag of  Logan House Costa Rican coffee beans from our web site for $20 dollars, $14 dollars will be donated to help a student explore and experice the world’s rich global diversity through exchange. Students will get a chance to see the country that coffee is made,  and all  you have to do is enjoy your morning cup of coffee! Click here to help your local youth!
