High School Virtual Exchange with Seongnam, Korea Wraps Up

ASCIRecent News

The first High School Virtual Exchange with Aurora and our sister city of Seongnam, South Korea wrapped up on Friday the 5th.  After 4 virtual exchanges with topics ranging from college and career aspirations, life during COVID-19 and every day life, the students plan on continuing to connect via KakaoTalk, a Korean chat app.  Students reported that the highlights of the exchange were listening to different perspectives on issues that are happening, comparing and contrasting the U.S. to Korea as well as the interesting conversations about life.  This is just the first of hopefully many high school virtual exchanges with Seongnam and our other sister cities!  A college virtual exchange will start in May and if you are interested in joining the exchange, email Jana Clark at jbclark@auroragov.org.

We’d like to thank AuroraTV for showcasing our exchange on Aurora’s Channel 8 talkshow.  If you’d like to hear from two of the students about the exchange, click the link below!
