Welcome!

A sister city bond is more than a friendship; it’s a commitment to share culture, education, and opportunities that resonate with our communities.

“During their visit, Mayor Shin Sang-Jin and his delegation experienced the best of Aurora’s offerings, from our vibrant cultural hotspots to our innovative educational institutions and dynamic economic landscapes. These explorations strengthen the bonds between our cities, enriching our cultural ties and opening doors to new educational and economic possibilities. Aurora is proud to share its strengths and embrace the potential of this international partnership.

Best Practices Exchange

An incredibly valuable outcome of sister and friendship city relationships are the exchanges of Best Practices between cities. Since 2015, Aurora Sister Cities has facilitated a number of Best Practices exchanges and programs. For example, in 2017, Aurora Sister Cities International facilitated a municipal exchange program between the City of Aurora and its partner city in Korea- Seongnam.
