Youth Exchange Trip to Jaco, Costa Rica

Beginning in 2023, Aurora sister Cities International expanded our youth exchange activities and has begun offering a youth exchange program to Costa Rica. This exchange is offered bi-annually.

Aurora's first sister city, Jaco, Costa Rica, is a popular tourist destination for both Costa Ricans and international travelers. The amazing beach offers a variety of activities and the rain forest is about 20 miles away. Youth will participate in community service projects, wellness activities and learn more about the culture and youth of our amazing sister city. Applicants can apply for limited partial scholarship funds to help cover the $3,000 trip cost, which includes airfare, lodging, transportation and most meals. Participants will be required to attend pre-travel workshops and participate in fundraisers. Trip dates will be announced soon but will most likely will be late June 4 through July 19, 2023.
